Here is the fifth game of the 1948 World Series between the Boston Braves and the Cleveland Indians played in Cleveland. I haven't really had time to do lots of research...just listen. One of the announcers is broadcasting great Mel Allen. The series up to this point had apparently been a bunch of low scoring pitcher's duels, but that changes with this game...lots of fireworks. Many baseball greats appear here such as Lou Boudreau, Bob Feller, Warren Spahn, Eddie Stankey...etc. Sound quality is very good with a slight bit of head misalignment in part 3, but still overall better than any others I've posted. The 4 sections are all between 42-46 minutes in length. This is an aircheck from WOR in New York. Enjoy. Bill.
